Day 6

This is the last day of Paris World Games 2017!
It was devoted to the football finals, all played at the Déjerine stadium.

The teams Com Bagneux, Camioneros, Centre de Formation de Football de Paris, Ordin FC, FC Nandy and Al Minaa finally won the U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 and U19 respectively.
The matches took place in the purest sportsmanship, and watched by many spectators who had come to the stadium.

Last but not least, the Paris World Games team would like to warmly thank all the participants and the volunteers for taking part in this edition, and give you rendez-vous in 2018!

Day 5

In basketball, while players from the Frenchy Associate came to host a workshop throughout the afternoon for our young players, it was indeed our sponsor Evan Fournier who presented the prizes to the teams of handball and basketball.
Welcomed like a star, he took the time to congratulate the players one by one, then to pose with them for a small photo shoot.
A real highlight of the day, sportingly and humanely!

For the handball precisely, the final matches took place. In the boys category, UMS Pontault Combault wins the tournament against the Entente Seine Nord 92 after a technical and tight match. For the girls, the team of CSM Finances 1 is the winner of its match against the Handball Federation of India, hence wins the tournament.
All the teams were present for the prizes ceremony, and the handball tournament ended on an excellent note in anticipation of the next edition!

Finally in football, a few winners have already been nominated. For example, ACCB 1, Paris FC, and SFC Neuilly-sur-Marne won the categories U10, U11 and U12 respectively.
The rest of the finals are played this Thursday all day at the Déjerine stadium, under a beautiful sun.

Day 4

Some important matches took place today!

This is particularly the case in basketball, where the CBSES Indians won their U15 tournament. On the contrary, in U17, the girls of the Sainte-Geneviève had great difficulty in winning theirs, but they did it at the end of the suspense.
In the boys tournament, the Stade Français eventually lost against the Entente Sainte-Geneviève on a tight score, and this last one won the U17 trophy. Finally, and once again, Entente Sainte-Geneviève won its U15 final match against CBSE India. A true success for this team, and for the basketball tournament!

In handball, it is finally the team CSM Fiances 1 who won its ticket for tomorrow’s final, thanks to a better goal average than the Lanester club. The girls will be facing the Indian women who have won their games of the day. The final is scheduled at 3.15pm.
Lanester and Colombes will compete for the third place then.
In the boys tournament, the 4 semi-finalists are made up of teams from the Ile-de-France region, unfortunately the English team and the Indian team have lost and wrapped-up a superb tournament for them.
Tomorrow is the end of the tournament with the remaining teams: UMS Pontault-Combault, Paris Handball, Entente Seine Nord 92 and Bois d’Arcy. Final scheduled at 2pm!

In football, things are getting tighter for the remaining teams. Many of the teams from the Ile-de-France, who are used to the tournament, have accessed to the semi-finals of their category, but some foreign teams also want to take part in the party until the end. This includes the Haitians of AS Truitier, Indians of Fountainhead, Faly from Canada, the PSG Academy Florida, Brazilians from Pinheiros and Ordin and Argentines from club Camioneros.
For the girls, only the AR10 Madrid team will represent the foreign countries, since the rest of the playoffs will be played between French clubs (Cergy Pontoise, Olympique Lyonnais, ACBB …)

Day 3

Despite the rain, all the matches took place today.

In handball, the group stage ended for the boys. As an example, the Bois d’Arcy team won at the last minute to qualify for the quarter-finals. The national team of India confirms its good shape since they’ve won their 3rd match and finishes first of their group.
Tomorrow will see these quarter-finals, including a match between Paris Handball against the English national team!
In the girls tournament, the ranking is still as tight as 4 teams are still in the race to qualify in the quarter-finals.
The matches of tomorrow will make it possible to know the two finalists of the tournament.

For the basketball, the French teams defended well and overall dominated the Indian teams, which are playing through their last effort whatever happens. Most playoff games are known and are scheduled for tomorrow.

In football, the Brazilian teams have done the show in and outside the lawn, as well as the Argentines of Camioneros who made a real demonstration. Despite difficult weather conditions, the London Tigers pulled out to win their game, and Faly Academy was able to count on a lot of supporters at the edge of the field.
Again, most of the playoff matches are known and will be played tomorrow … the atmosphere of the final stage is now approaching!

Day 2

This second day of tournament ended on the same dynamics as the first.

In rugby, the level of the matches was excellent and the results were tight. Teams like the Stade Français and Sucy made a good impression in the semi-finals, but it is eventually the Germans of the Deutsche Rugby Verband who win the U18 boys category. Amongst the open men category, it is the superb team of the Tinghir Rugby Club who honors Morocco, by winning the first place in this category.
In the girls tournament, Atlantis Rugby almost felt the victory feeling, but it is finally the Baby Paris Ladies who eventually won this final. And the Rugby Club Massy Essonne finishes first in the girls open category.
Overall, the matches held their promises, and if some teams sent a strong message, others like the Swiss or Emirati selections, or even St Martin Rugby Union were examples of exemplarity on and off the field.
The rugby tournament is already over, but it is full of promises for the 2018 edition!

In handball, this second day brought the atmosphere to another level! The group matches gave some surprises such as this new victory of the Indian women’s selection or the incredible intensity of the matches between ACBB and ES Colombes as well as between Paris Handball and the Entente Seine Nord 92.
The matches are still tight and promise beautiful things for the final stages that will start on Tuesday.

For the basket, the Indian teams manage to stay in contact against the teams of Ile-de-France. In most groups, the outcome is still uncertain and matches on the third day will be decisive.

Football has seen matches tighter and more balanced than yesterday. The awaited match Brazil-Argentina ended on a 0-0, while the US teams are still making good results. The regular teams of the Paris World Games continue their journey, and some of the new teams are very motivated to create surprises. For the girls, the open category tournament ended with a new victory of the C.A Paris. The next few days will speed up the pace!

Finally, and sadly, the whole organization of the event is sorry that the opening ceremony had to be shortened due to heavy rains, the biggest that ever fell in Paris …

Day 1

The first day of the Paris World Games took place in an excellent sport atmosphere.

Rugby, first of all, was in the spotlight, as Jean-Claude Skrela visited teams like St Martin Rugby Union and was able to interact with the young players directly on the field.
In general, the matches were very intense with teams such as the Ile-de-France Committee, Atlantis Rugby, Baby Paris Ladies or the Deutscher Rugby Verband. Other formations like Rugby India, VGA St Maur and Lagny have shown great tenacity. The women game between the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland was finally full of symboles.
This announces a second exciting day with the semi-finals and finals in perspective, always in a very good atmosphere !

Handball has also given high-level and globally homogeneous matches. The French teams met the foreigners, including the national team of India who created the first surprise of the tournament!
Likewise, the England team was able to count on loyal supporters who put on a superb atmosphere.

Basketball also put the Indian teams in the spotlight, as they were present in numbers on the pitch. They defended well despite a difficult start against the Ile-de-France teams. The tournament promises to be more and more beautiful as the days go by!

Last but not least, football has given very varied scores (from 0-0 to 20-0!). The regular teams of the Paris World Games were motivated to start a new edition. Beautiful actions, numerous goals and a family atmosphere were here, proven by the number of parents present in stands on all the stadiums.
For the record, it was the Argentines from Camioneros who won the opening game of the tournament this morning. A good sign for their future?
